Eternity is a loose concept, but essentially, it is a characteristic of time. You might think that this is a very, very long time. How much is this? One century, one life or billions of light years, the life of the Universe?
To touch real eternity, you must understand that there is no time. In the spiritual world, time can appear as a consequence of one expression or another. And even in our imagination, such a feeling is possible when no changes occur to notice the time flow.
It’s not so interesting to find out what came first, the chicken or the egg, as to conduct a sensory-thought experiment about what came first, time or mind? Is it possible to think, to realize before the emergence of space and time?
We are talking about intuition, anticipation of the scale of the Universe. It is as if “I” were a god whose instincts were expressed into the surrounding cosmos. There is neither awareness nor time here, even if we assume the simultaneous occurrence of bare attention, space, and time. Any assessment occurs in hindsight based on what happened, and the processes are unpredictably nonlinear.
A person cannot be that different from the Universe to understand each other. Nothing can mislead us so much as to completely separate us from spiritual nature. This is the cause-and-effect law of similarity. However, we are not powerful enough to resist imaginary and real gods.
In other words, someone would like to be the center of the Universe, for the sake of whom the whole world appeared in order to call it eternity. On different conditions, from pure madness, when a very narrow-minded character imagines himself to be a god, to the other extreme, when absolute equality reigns and this “I” faces the fate of everyone.
Eternity is an episode of transformation into something else, growing to a well-fed state. Only this very process of transformation is felt as your personal eternity. Having become the groundhog day, it can be the timelessness of the concrete “I”, where with each new iteration, the immortal soul will suffer an increasingly clear and lasting feeling of gratitude, irresistible déjà vu.
